i often read many articles on message boards about a particular woman at work, maybe a secretary in most cases, and wanting to know whether the girl in question is wearing pantyhose or stockings, now theres obviously big differences between the two, pantyhose genrally go right to the waist and would be classed as all in one, and therefore would give a seamless apperance underneath a skirt and therefore i would say most women opt for wearing pantyhose to work.

 a more sexy alternative and somewhat brave is for the secretary to wear sexy stockings, now stockings are worn with a suspender or garter belt. stockings are more difficult to wear so i am told and are more uncomfortable, and the tell tale signs that a secretary is wearing sexy stockings is the bumps at the point where the suspender belt attaches to the stockings. pantyhose obviously dont give this away and therefore its a sure way to tell, it does help if the secretary has a tight fitting pencil skirt on as its easier to spot, although if the girl happens to be bending over then its easy to tell whether that secretary is into sexy pantyhose or sexy stockings
